Frequently Asked Questions

|
-
What does my employer need to do ? What obligations are on them ?
Not much, to be honest. Many employers are quite scared of sponsoring an employee into Australia. The first key point is are they eligible to sponsor ? This is based on their turnover, their number of years in business, their type of business, location, and such details. If they are, then we can take care of the rest, so there is little for them to be concerned about.
As long as they pay you the correct salary, then there are also not many extra costs for them by employing a migrant.
-
Do I need certain qualifications ? What job can I be sponsored for ? What about my spouse ?
You do not always need the qualifications that would be required in the skilled migration and skill assessment path - however you must h ave good experience in the specific position that is being offered. Your spouse can be included in the application at no extra cost, and he or she has work rights also.
The downside of these visa types is that you may need to pay extra fees for schooling and healthcare, if on a temporary visa.
